Fuel Consumption and CO2 Information
VCA is responsible for the creation and management of the New Car and Van Fuel Consumption and CO2 database used by individuals and organisations to do the following:
In the Car database
-
Inform buyers of new and used UK cars about how they can reduce the impact of their vehicle on the environment
-
Identify the vehicle excise duty and/or the relevant Company Car tax percentage bracket, based on CO2 levels
-
Search within the database to find cars that offer lower fuel consumption or use alternative fuel types
The Car fuel data, CO2 and vehicle tax tools provide details of the fuel consumption, exhaust pollution levels and noise levels of most new cars on sale in the UK, and there is also the option to download the content of the database for those wishing to evaluate the data further. In addition, visitors to the site can use the data to calculate the likely cost of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) on a car - or any other type of vehicle they may be thinking about buying.
In the Van database
-
Inform buyers of new UK vans, 4x4s and pickups about how they can reduce the impact of their vehicle on the environment
-
Help buyers to choose the correct vehicle for their requirements by filtering according to vehicle type, load length and other options
